CLOUD TECH CAUSING ENVIRONMENTAL PROBLEMS.

Global emissions from cloud computing range from 2.5% to 3.7% of all global greenhouse gas emissions, thereby exceeding emissions from commercial flights (about 2.4%) and other existential activities that fuel our global economy. Most of the energy that is consumed within a data centre needs to pass through various stages of distribution before it can be used by IT systems. This energy is converted to heat, which is why these facilities require a significant amount of cooling. Rising global temperatures and unstable weather fluctuations have made maintaining data centers a hard task. This costs companies millions, negatively affects user experience, and contributes to climate change through extreme energy consumption. Companies such as Google, Microsoft and Amazon are building massive cloud servers centers the size of airfields which will accelerate the climate effect considerably. the need for people to store unbelievable amounts of photos, videos, emails etc take up so much cloud space and directly increasing the energy used and wasted. people should be advised to delete unneeded data and save space for important info.
